I accepted the Lord Jesus as my risen Savior in the front seat of my Oakland Police patrol car in 1971.  My partner was a Deacon in a local church.  Unlike many new christians, my walk was a constant challenge for many years, until I understood the soveriegnty of a loving God, and that He has a plan for my life.

Now I have that joy and peace that comes when I seek God's will throughout my life.  I am eternally thankful for Carson Valley Bible Church.  Now my wife and I are in God's family!

Justin Krische

Justin has lived in the northern Nevada area for over 25 years, and has been married to his wife Kayla for 8 years and have two wonderful little boys, Colston and Samuel.  Justin is currently pursuing a degrees in systematic theology at Reformed Baptist Seminary, and progressing through the certification process to become an ACBC certified biblical counselor.

It is his goal to uphold and to teach the sufficiency of Scripture, since in it we find all we need for faith and life.  Justin admires the Puritans and has a love for church history.

Pastor/Elder Candidate

I was raised Jewish, had a Bar Mitzvah and 5 years of Hebrew, as a child.  Kathy and I were married in 1971 and I became a Christian in 1979.  At that time, I felt God's call to ministry and went to Biola University from 1980-82, graduating with a BA in Biblical Studies with an OT major.  I then went to Talbot Seminary and graduated in 1988 with a M.Div. with an OT major.

Since that time, I have been an Elder in a couple of churches, Pastor of Evangelism at one church, and provided pulpit supply and interim pastoring as required.  In 2007, Kathy and I started a church in central California with three other couples.  In 2013, after two of the couples had moved and one passed away, I became the only Pastor until July 2020, when we moved to Minden.  About 6 months later, we started attending CVBC.

Pastor/Elder Candidate

I first heard and understood the gospel when I was in the 4th grade. That is when I responded to God's saving grace. I was baptized at the age of 19, and at that time went through a period of intense spiritual growth. It wasn't until I was about 45, however, that I began to comprehend that God's grace wasn't just something I needed to enter the Christian life, but that it was freely available to me every day of my life. Now 12 years later I still find wonder in the grace and forgiveness of Jesus each and every day. And I am continually learning what life in Christ can and should be.

What a privilege it is to serve at Carson Valley Bible Church, where the life giving gospel of God's great love demonstrated in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus is boldly and clearly proclaimed each and every week.

Operations Administrator

I first accepted Christ and was baptized at 12 years old.  As I grew into adulthood, I walked away from faith, and served only myself and my family.  It was during the teenage years of my children, that God got a hold of me when I attended a women's retreat with my mom and aunt (after a few years of being invited), in 1995.

My spiritual journey really began, as I sought out the truth - and my life changed dramatically.  I began to attend church regulary, joining in studies and the choir and worship team.

I moved to Nevada in October of 2021, and sought out a bible-teaching church.  I've been at CVBC ever since, appreciating the realness of the Gospel, which is taught every weekend, and the application of the Word to our lives today.  I'm so very blessed to be able to work in this environment and serve our church family!
